The Shell 35 is their first one. It suits most of what we cover here: boat days, fishing trips, camping, diving and long days on the beach.

At RUGA
The brand
RUGA is an Egyptian outdoor brand, and the Shell 35 is their first cooler.
We wanted to feature it because coolers are useful across a lot of what we cover: boating, fishing, camping, diving and kiting.
The name comes from tartaruga, Italian for turtle, which is where the shell shape and the logo come from.
The Atlas does not sell it. You buy from RUGA directly.

The cooler is moulded as one piece, which gives it a strong, durable shell.
RUGA rates the Shell 35 for up to five days of cold retention. The same insulation keeps hot food hot.
Cup holders and a fishing rod holder can be attached to the cooler.

We have not tested the Shell 35 ourselves yet.
We plan to take one out on Atlas trips and test it in real Red Sea conditions. Once we do, we will add the results here.

Use it throughout an Atlas expedition.
Test it on an exposed deck in Red Sea heat.
Pack it properly and show what 35 litres looks like in real use.
