Delete Your Account

Last updated July 2026

You can delete your Red Sea Atlas account yourself, at any time, from either the website or the mobile app. You do not need to ask us and you do not need a reason. Deletion is immediate and permanent.

On the website

  1. Sign in and open your profile.
  2. Open Edit Profile.
  3. Scroll to the bottom and choose Delete Account.
  4. Confirm. Your account and data are removed straight away.

In the mobile app

  1. Open the Profile tab.
  2. Tap Edit Profile.
  3. Under Account Settings, tap Delete account.
  4. Confirm on the prompt that appears.

What gets deleted

Everything attached to your account is removed, not hidden or deactivated:

  • Your profile, name, handle, bio, avatar, cover photo and every activity preference.
  • Your content, posts, comments, uploaded photos, sighting notes, dive site comments, ratings and marketplace listings.
  • Your logbook, dive logs, kite sessions and catch logs.
  • Your connections, follows in both directions, blocks, notifications and trip plans.
  • Your files, every image you uploaded is removed from our file storage, not only from the database.
  • Your Fish Identifier history, the photos you submitted and the identifications returned.

We keep one thing: a minimal record that an account was deleted, holding the date and the account identifier. We keep it so we can show that the deletion happened, and it contains none of your content.

Deleting some of your data without closing your account

You do not have to close your account to remove something from it. While signed in, you can delete any of the following on their own, on the website and in the mobile app:

  • Posts and photos, from your profile or from the feed.
  • Logbook entries, individual dive logs, kite sessions and catch logs.
  • Marketplace listings, from the listing itself.
  • Saved trip plans, from your profile.
  • Profile details, you can clear your bio, location, photos and activity details from Edit Profile at any time.

Deleting a photo removes the file from our storage, not only the entry in our database. For anything you cannot remove yourself, such as a comment you left, email ali@redseaatlas.com and we will delete it for you.

If you cannot sign in

If you have lost access to your account and cannot complete the steps above, email ali@redseaatlas.com from the address you signed up with and we will delete the account for you. We aim to do this within 30 days.
